Bill Crouse-Up-cycled Hand Drum
Made by Bill Crouse of the Seneca Nation. Bill is a well known painter, performer, MC, Seneca linguist and drum maker. This beautiful drum is made from an up-cycled drum shell with a hand stretched hide. This unique hand drum is colorful and functional.
Drums of all kinds have been used cultures throughout the world. For the Iroquois and other tribes, drums represent the heartbeat of existence. Today hand drums are used not only in singing gatherings but also in competitions where single performers play and sing songs they created in order to tell a story or express oneself.
